FAQ’s
-
Where are you located?
My studio is in the General Industry Building in NE Portland, at 100 NE Farragut St. Studio 08. Look for the yellow door on the left with the sign that says “STUDIOS”. There is a gate that will most likely be closed on the weekends, so use the phone number in your appointment emails to let me know when you arrive and I will let you in when you get here! You can park inside the gate even if it’s closed.

How much do you charge?
Currently my prices for most available flash designs are priced individually (which you can find on my instagram) and some will be offered at my hourly rate of $125/hr. You can find my available designs under the “Wanna do/Flash” tab! My rates for custom designs are done at my hourly as well.
Right now there is a $25 deposit required for all flash tattoos, and $50 for custom designs, which will come off the total cost at the end of your appointment. Life happens, you can use your original deposit once to reschedule as long as you let me know more than 48 hours in advance. If you have to reschedule a second time, I will require a new deposit. I accept cash and card, though cash is greatly preferred!

I’m thinking about getting a custom design, what would you like to tattoo?
I love 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s nostalgia and throwback themes! I also LOVE to do custom calligraphy and text. I’d love to tattoo animals, faces, Portland/PNW themed pieces, plants, architecture, landscapes, food, and ornamental designs. I’m excited to design a custom tattoo for you!
-
Are you ADA accessible!
YES! The General Industry Building is fully ADA accessible. I currently only have a massage table for clientele so if you would have a hard time getting onto a table for your procedure reach out in advance and we can come up with some other options.
-
Is there anything you won’t tattoo?
I will not tattoo any hate speech. I will also not tattoo cultural tattoos or content in other languages. I also will not directly copy another tattoo artists work. If you have received permission from an artist to have their work replicated, I may be willing to do it, but I will take this on a case by case basis and with the understanding that some tweaks will be made to make it work as a tattoo.
-
Do you accept tips?
Tips are always greatly appreciated! Thank you! The current industry standard is 10%-20% per procedure but it is never a requirement.
-
Will I see my custom design in advance?
Sorry, no. If you want to see what your design looks like before you come in, my best advice to you is to get an original flash design! However I will always work with you at the beginning of your appointment to make sure your design is to your liking, make any tweaks or edits, choose colors and make sure we get the perfect placement.

How do I book a tattoo with you?
You can apply for an appointment by clicking on the appropriate link on my “BOOK NOW” page! After filling it out, please allow up to week for me to get back to you with a booking link or any questions I may have!
I currently am not booking anything large enough to need a consult at this time and therefore will not be taking any in person consults. I’m happy to chat with you over text about any concerns and nail down your design details in advance.

Do tattoos hurt? Can I numb in advance?
Tattoos do hurt, yes. However, everyone’s pain tolerance is different. Some locations on the body hurt more than others. At this time, I am asking that you do not numb before your appointment. If this is a dealbreaker for you please reach out and we can discuss your personal situation. During your appointment we can take breaks, you can have a snack and drink water. I will do my best to be accommodating to your pain. Just remember, the pain will be temporary, but the tattoo will be forever!
-
What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?
Keep your skin moisturized and stay hydrated at least a week before your appointment. This will greatly improve your tattoo results, and you will be thankful for taking care of your skin.
Don’t pre-shave! I will shave the area for you — and I cannot work on an area that has been nicked or cut! If you have really thick hair in the tattoo area feel free to buzz it down with an electric buzzer in advance of your appointment.
Bring a snack, a water bottle and your ID! You are also welcome to bring headphones if that is something you would like to have while being tattooed! Also wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area I will be working on.
We are also asking our clients to mask in the studio at this time! We have some here if you forget yours, but please bring one if you have them!
-
Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment?
Unfortunately, no. We do not have a large space and we ask that you do not bring anyone else into the studio at this time! Thank you!

How do I take care of my new tattoo?
I will generally be sending you home with a hypoallergenic adhesive tattoo bandage as long as this works for you. This you will leave on for up to five days as long as you are not experiencing any irritations inside or around the bandage. These bandages prevent dirt, irritants, pet dander and other products from touching and infecting your tattoo during the early days of its healing. In some instances I will send you home with instructions to put on a secondary bandage that you can put on and replace yourself.
I ask that you do not soak your new tattoo (even with the bandage) in the bath, hot tub, river, ocean, swimming pool or hot spring for two weeks. After you remove your bandage, you will wash, dry, and moisturize with a tattoo specific aftercare product twice a day for two weeks. I recommend using Dr. Bronners baby mild pure-castile soap and InkDefense, both of which I sell here in the studio!
Healing a tattoo can be itchy! Please do NOT scratch your new tattoo! This can cause you to lose ink or even cause scarring! Do not pick ANY scabs that form. If you have any concerns during your healing process please reach out to me directly via the phone number in your appointment emails.
